About the Theme
Arts and culture reflect the world's unpredictability by exploring how everything is interconnected and mutual, linking the past, present, and future. The COVID-19 epidemic is undoubtedly a significant reminder to the human society. Life has been forced to slow down, and it appears that the natural world now has some breathing space.People have started considering the origin of life and who will survive in this world.
"Mutualism" is a topic that everyone must face nowadays; however, how much of the world can humans perceive and understand? It contains the visible and the invisible, the perceived and the unperceived, the known and unknown, and countless other factors, how do all these operations interact and coexist? Furthermore, how does the constant flow of imbalances and balances that make our world work? Is the so-called symbiosis human's arrogant imagination, or is it a way of survival that must be obeyed, or perhaps avoided?
With the theme of "Mutualism of Our Times", the symposium explores how we, in the uncertain post-pandemic era, should consider and practise coexistence with the environment as a presentation of culture and the arts. As a special reminder to those who are planning to join us, this year’s conference will have two main axes: one is the lecture on cultural resources, inviting domestic and foreign experts and scholars to analyze the meaning and imagination of the mutualism of our times; the other is the postgraduate academic seminar, which will think from the perspective of arts and cultural resources in dialogues, enriching the discussion and research in the field of cultural resources.
